Major Terence G. Taylor, U.S. Air Force Fellow


Prior to the start of his Intermediate Developmental Education Fellowship at the Project for National Security Reform in Washington, DC, Major Terence G. Taylor was assigned as the Current Operations Flight Commander at an Air Force Special Operations Command Unit. His experience spans a wide variety of operational functions and duties at staff, theater, and unit levels.

Major Taylor was commissioned in May 1997 via the Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and received a regular commission. He has served as a Plans Officer, Training Officer, Tactics Officer, and Assistant Flight Commander. He has worked in the Air Force Special Operations Command for his entire career and is an experienced combat pilot who has accumulated 1,500 combat flight hours and 4,100 total flight hours in seven different aircraft. Major Taylor has completed 12 deployments in support of overseas contingency operations supporting the United States Special Operations Command.
